MISS SUSIAN

It seems that the "Tinker Place," built for Miss Susian Tinker, was so loved by her that she never left, even after death.

Mrs. Turpin first reported the apparition of Miss Susian. She stated to her family that a small woman in a gray dress was in a doorway smiling at her but when Mrs. Turpin tried to talk to her she just disappeared.

Mrs. Waller, Mrs. Turpin's daughter, was entertaining several grandchildren when they asked her about the lady near the table. No one else could see her but the children told of her moving through the doorway and into the living room then up the stairway as she faded away.

A friend of the Wallers was recovering from a sickness at the house and, since she couldn't get out of bed, called for Mrs. Waller to turn on the lights in the room. As quick as she had asked it the lights came on by themselves.

The lady in gray has been seen in front of the fireplace, and looking at the china in the cabinet. As soon as anyone tries to talk to or look at her she disappears.

Mrs. Waller got up to make coffee one morning only to find the lady standing in the doorway. She smiled at Mrs. Waller and turned away and disappered on the stairs. She recognized the lady as being the image of Miss Susian.
